A pioneer, Shaath established one of the Kingdom’s first fashion boutiques in the late 1950’s; exposing generations of Saudi women to haute couture and glamorous prêt-à-porter from London, Paris and Rome. The exhibition explores the Kingdom’s early links to the Western fashion world through Shaath’s personal archive of garments and photographs. read more »

Dna Trunk ShowDedicated to preserving the age-old crafts of her native Philippines, former model Tina Maristela-Ocampo launched her exquisite line of handbags and fine jewelry in 2006. Sourcing her organic materials from the mountains and beaches of the Philippines, Ocampo works closely with local artisans to bring her exotic creations to life. Opalescent paua shells are transformed into minaudieres with the addition of silver mounts and clasps made from semi-precious stones. His bangles drip with hundreds of diamond-tipped chains, while his necklaces can be updated with exotic feathers, courtesy of Maison Lemarié’s legendary couture workrooms in Paris. Mentored by Andy Warhol, Rosado spent over a decade designing for Giorgio Armani and Versace, before launching his line last February, which grabbed our attention for its glamorous yet edgy take on haute jewelry. read more »
