“Colophon” comes from the Greek word “κολοφων” or "kolophon," which means "summit" or "finishing touch." It is a description of the details and methods behind a publication and is often found on the last few pages of books.
TYPOGRAPHY
The D'NA logo is set in the Futura Medium typeface. The primary navigation for the site uses Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk. This site also utilizes @font-face tags to enable unique typography on the web. Titles and subheadings use Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk. Body text for the site is set in Helvetica Neue.
DESIGN
Neoteric Design designed and developed the redesign of D'NA in the spring and summer of 2011. Neoteric redesigns websites and creates mobile applications with a focus on customer needs, site goals, ease of use and engaging design.
TECHNICAL
Illustrator, Photoshop, and TextMate were used in the creation of this site. The site runs on Ruby on Rails and content is maintained using Refinery CMS. It is authored using HTML5, and complies with web standards as set by the W3C.
